Christine was born in Rolla, MO on February 24, 1939, to parents Cecil and Florence (Sowers) Waldorf. She graduated from Winfield High School in 1957, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Robert Flottman, on August 29, 1957, in Oxford, KS. She enjoyed being a homemaker and caring for her family, she also worked at Safeway for over 25 years. "Sam" as her husband nicknamed her, began working in the meat department at Anthony, Kansas, by going to the store after it closed and working side by side with her husband. Bob would cut the meat and she would wrap it to go in the case for sale the next morning. She also made a Safeway style green grocer apron for their son Rex, then 4 years old, who would "help" the evening stockers by dusting the bottom shelves and face the canned goods. "Sam" worked most of her years for Safeway in Enid, OK, and retired from the grocery business just prior to the closing of Country Mart Grocery Store in Arkansas City, KS. Christine enjoyed doing yard work, tending her birdfeeders, playing the organ, sewing, reading, doing puzzles, and catching up with family and friends. She enjoyed people, but dearly loved her granddaughters, her little white dog, Casey and 2 cats, Marie and Barnabas.

Survivors include her son Rex Flottman and his wife Sandra, granddaughters Sheridon and Sierra sister-in-law Glenda Waldorf of Winfield, sister Donna Cook and her husband Richard of Winfield, brother Gene Waldorf and wife Janelle of Bartlesville, OK, and sister Martha Wilson of Winfield; brother-in-law Ben Flottman and his wife Charlotte of Sioux Falls, SD, and numerous nieces and nephews. Christine is preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents, in-law-parents Robert and Norma Flottman, brother Delbert Waldorf, brother-in-law Bruce Wilson and niece, Marla Flottman.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Aug. 17, 2021, at Highland Cemetery, 702 Amos Becker Road, Winfield, KS, USA.
