Joe Ann (Roork) Fleig

January 30, 1937 ~ February 5, 2008

Joe Ann (Roork) Fleig daughter of Joe Shelly and Dovie Ann (Canter) Roork was born January 30, 1937 in Winslow, Arkansas and departed this life on February 5, 2008 in Westville, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years and 5 days.

She worked as the Westville City Clerk for many years. She also enjoyed the duties that followed her role of being a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to her family.

Joe Ann was preceded in death by her parents; Joe and Dovie (Canter) Roork, one brother; C.C. Clifton Watts, and one sister; Betty ann Smith.

She is survived by a very loving family that includes her husband Gene Fleig of the home in Westville, OK, one daughter; Shelly Jean Ames and husband Bill of Watts, OK, one son; Mark C. Fleig and wife Maria of Collinsville, OK, 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, one brother; Henry Roork of Dell City, OK, one sister; Nina Bailey of Dayton, Nevada, other relatives and many friends also survive her.

Memorial services were held Friday, February 8, 2008 with Bro. James Duffield officiating in the Westville High School Auditorium, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Westville, OK.
