Vera (Heidebrecht) Flaming
January 20, 1925 ~ December 12, 2019

Celebration of Life Services for Vera Flaming, 94, will be Saturday, December 28, 2019, at 10 a.m. in Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

Vera was born on January 20, 1925, in Corn, Oklahoma, to Carl and Tena Heidebrecht and passed away on December 12, 2019, in Enid, with her children by her side.

She grew up in Corn and graduated from Corn High School in 1943. Vera accepted Christ as her Savior as a teenager. In November 1943, she married Fred J. Deutschendorf and they had two children. They were members of Corn Mennonite Brethren Church. Fred died in 1976. In 1978, Vera married Harold Flaming in Premont, Texas, where they made their home. They moved to Enid in 1991 and became members of Enid Mennonite Brethren Church. Harold died in 2001. Vera enjoyed cooking for her family, quilting, yard work, reading and working word search puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; parents; son-in-law, Don Wipf; two brothers Allen and Harry Heidebrecht, and sisters-in-law Martha and Linda Heidebrecht.

Vera is survived by her children, Phyllis Wipf, John and wife Linda Deutschendorf; grandchildren, Scott (Teresa) Deutschendorf, Chuck (Shannon) Wipf, Joe (Danielle) Deutschendorf, Teresa (Damian) Hugaboom, Rhea Wolf; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, John (Joyce) Heidebrecht; sisters, Edna Heidebrecht, Mary Ann (Walter) Heinrichs; sister-in-law Dorothy Heidebrecht; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to Golden Oaks Chapel Fund or Enid Mennonite Brethren Church
