Janis Ann Fitzgerald, age 70, of Mena, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2002 in Dallas, Texas.
She was born November 7, 1931, in Watonga, Oklahoma, to the late Bill March and the late Frances Thomas March. She was united in marriage to Daniel Edward Fitzgerald. Mrs. Fitzgerald had been a music teacher, a member of the Mena Garden Club, the Potter RVFD, St. Agnes Catholic Church and the St. Agnes Altar Society. She was a loving homemaker, wife, mother, sister and grandmother.
Mrs. Fitzgerald is survived by: her husband, Daniel Edward Fitzgerald Sr., of Mena, Arkansas; son: Daniel Edward Fitzgerald Jr., of Dallas, Texas; daughters: Nancy Ann Essenburg, of Dallas, Texas, Susan Cathleen DePetris, of Dallas, Texas, and Julia Kay Benites, of Las Vegas, Nevada; sister: Cara Jo Tremper, of California; 5 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Sue Cummings.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 28, 2002, at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Agnes Catholic Church with Father Norbert Rappold officiating.
Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery under the direction of the Beasley-Wood Funeral Home in Mena.
Pallbearers will be Jack Barnes, Tom Deters, Herman Jansen, John Neils, Randy Super and Ken Wille.
