Carol Jean Fitts, daughter of Lawrence Allen and Violet (Wolf) Sappington was born July 20, 1942 in Longmont, Colorado and departed this life to be with our Lord on December 14, 2012 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years, 4 months and 24 days.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed her duties of being a very loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She loved sewing and spending time with her family. She had a great love for any and all animals and especially enjoyed raising cockatiels. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother; Roy Sappington.
She is survived by a very loving family that includes her husband; Bill Fitts of the home in Westville, OK, 1 daughter; Barbara Knapp Jones and husband Tim of Fayetteville, AR,1 son; Brian Gray of Elkins, AR, 4 step sons; Jerry Fitts, Ronnie Fitts and wife Sheila, Dennis Fitts and Kevin Fitts all of Westville, OK, 2 stepdaughters; Mary Ellen George and Sophia Estes all of Fayetteville, AR. Sister; Edna Louise Abreu of Durham, NC, 23 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends also survive her.
Graveside services at 11 am on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Fairview Cemetery, Fayetteville, Arkansas with Bro. Bill Rhine officiating. Interment followed.
