Funeral services for Kenneth Eugene Fischer, of Enid Oklahoma, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday September 15, 2021, at Willow View United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark McAdow officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 14, from 6:00-8:00pm at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Kenneth Eugene Fischer gained his heavenly wings on September 11, 2021, with his wife by his side. Kenneth was born on September 22, 1948, in Enid Oklahoma to Adam and Golda (Osborn) Fischer. Kenneth attended school in Enid and graduated Enid High School, class of 1966. He earned his bachelor's degree from Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
Kenneth worked 32 years as a manager and buyer for Evans Drug before he retired. Post-retirement, he worked as a store manager at Ace Hardware for almost a decade.
Kenneth married Sherry Buller on July 12, 1975, in Enid, OK. They have two children, Kelly and Kendra. Kenneth was a strong and loving man and nothing was more important to him than his family and church. He was an active member of Willow View United Methodist Church. Ken loved spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed traveling, attending sporting events and concerts, hunting, and fishing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Sherry of Enid, OK; one son, Kelly and his wife Esther of Enid; one daughter, Kendra Wiegert and her husband David of Oklahoma City; and four precious grandchildren: Kellyn Fischer, Journey Wiegert, Joplin Wiegert and Draper Wiegert; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
He was preceded in death by his parents Adam and Golda Fischer, his brother Ronnie Fischer, his sister Barbara Ann Hunt, his grandparents and Delores Fischer.
Memorial contributions in Kenneth's name may be made to the LBDA (Lewy Body Dementia Association) or FurEver Friends with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
