Mary B. (Cook) Finsterwald

Jan. 18, 1906 ~ April 18, 2002

WHEELER - Mary B. Finsterwald, 96, died Thursday, April 18, 2002, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in First Baptist Church in Wheeler with Dr. Toby Henson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.

Mrs. Finsterwald was born to Jabez and Dora Lambert Cook on Jan. 18, 1906, in Altus, Okla. She had lived in Wheeler since 1908. She married W.A. Finsterwald on Jan. 25, 1925, in Canadian.

She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church in Wheeler, Wednesday Study Club, Bluebonnet Study Club in Mobeetie and the Bridge and Canasta Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1962; a son, Jack Finsterwald in 1992; and two grandsons.

Survivors include a daughter, Rosemary Vise of Wheeler; a brother, J.F. Cook of Hurley, N.M.; a sister, Tommie Cummings of Borger; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Ronald McDonald House.
