Bernice Opal (Self) Finchum
May 27, 1932 ~ November 29, 2018

Bernice Opal (Self) Finchum, 86, of Stillwater, Oklahoma passed way on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Westhaven Nursing Home in Stillwater. Arrangements are under the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater. Memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at 3pm and visitation will be held on 2pm at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home in Greeneville, Tennessee.

Bernice was born on May 27, 1932 in Greene County, Tennessee to Goodler and Roxie (Smith) Self. She was raised and attended school in Mosheim, Tennessee and graduated in 1950. She then attended college at East Tennessee State University earning her bachelor's and master's degree.

Bernice enjoyed teaching High School Business and Economics at David Crockett High School in Jonesborough, Tennessee for almost 30 years.

She is survived by her son, Allen Finchum and wife, Tanya of Stillwater, Oklahoma; niece, Mary Ann Rush of Bibles Chapel, Tennessee; one grandson, Curtis Finchum and wife, Olivia of Edmond, Oklahoma; two great grandchildren, Harper and Juliette Finchum of Edmond, Oklahoma.

Bernice is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Annie and Fannie; and one brother, Thomas.

NOTE:her burial will be in Mosheim Cemetery, Greenville, TN
