Katherine June (Lingle) Finch
December 12, 1947 ~ September 14, 2022

Purcell - Katherine June Finch died September 14, 2022, in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years 9 months 2 days. Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, October 14, 2022, at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

June was born December 12, 1947, in Norman, Oklahoma. Her parents, EG and Lucille (Milittleton) Lingle raised their family in Norman, and June graduated in 1962. June spent time in the military as a nurse. She worked a few different jobs in her life including operating heavy equipment, working for the cities of Moore and Norman doing maintenance, retiring in 2004. June made Purcell her home in 2010. She loved telling stories, and never met a stranger. June enjoyed reading, cooking and an occasional drink. She was a hard worker and took great pride in her home and her lawn. June was an ornery, caring and giving person, who stood up to folks when needed. She loved her family and friends fiercely, and always enjoyed when they were around.

June is preceded in death by her parents, EG and Lucille Lingle; her brother, Lewis LeRoy Lingle; and her sister, Nancy Fay Harley. Survivors include her son, Troy Finch; her daughter, Juanita Cranded; her nephews, Michael and Ethan; and a hell of a lot of friends.

June said numerous times, “When I die, know I'm not gone, I'm just on a new adventure.”
