Genevieve Martin Fickess, longtime Cushing resident, passed away early Monday morning, December 29, 2014, in Stillwater at the age of 74 years.
The daughter of the late Homer Martin and Geneva Downs Martin, Genevieve was born on March 28, 1940 in Chandler, Oklahoma and was raised and educated in the Kendrick area.
She was united in marriage to Ralph Fickess.
She was a member of the Baptist Church and enjoyed doing crafts of all kinds, sewing, writing poetry, creative writing and playing the guitar.
Surviving include her children, Terry Estep and her husband Scot of Spring Branch, Texas; and Devin Terrill and his wife Lori of Charleston, South Carolina; her siblings, Darrell Martin and his wife Pauline; Harlin Martin and Glenda Martin; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews and a special friend Dixie Terrill.
A memorial service will be Friday, January 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church in Davenport with Reverend Mike Mitchell, pastor, officiating.
