Josephine "Jay" "Nana" Fernandez
February 28, 1934 ~ July 8, 2014 (age 80)

Josephine "Jay" Fernandez "Nana" of Norman, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014. She  was born February 28, 1934 In New York City, New York to Giobatta Cavillones and Josephine (Rivera) Cavillones.

Jay was employed at New York Telephone Company (Verizon) for 35 years before moving to Norman Oklahoma to be next to her daughter and grandchildren. She enjoyed travelling all over the world, but her favorite place was Cancun, Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her parents Giobatta and Josephine Cavillones; her husband Carlos Fernandez; sisters Carmella and Mary and brother John. Josephine is survived by her daughter, Deborah Weissman, son-inlaw Mark Weissman; sister Yolanda Mitaynes; brother Henry Cavillones; grandchildren Crystal and Robin Weissman and various nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Prayer service will begin at 2;00 p.m., Saturday, July12, 2014 at the Havenbrook Funeral Chapel, 3401 Havenbrook Street in Norman.

Arrangements for Josephine and her family were placed in the care of the Vice family at the Havenbrook Funeral home of Norman. Online condolences may be shared at www.HavenbrookfuneralHome.com
