Marie Hulda (Jencks) Ferguson
March 4, 1931 ~ November 8, 2018 (age 87)

Marie Hulda Ferguson passed away November 8, 2018 in Oklahoma City at the age of 87 years. Marie was born March 4, 1931 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma to her parents Verne Oscar and Nettie Rose (Marshall) Jencks.

Marie was raised in her home town of Cheyenne, OK until the 8th grade, from there her family moved to Imperial Valley, CA where she resided until 1970. On October 1, 1949 she and the late Jearl Ferguson were married in Yuma, AZ. After returning to Beckham county in 1970 Marie began working as a lab tech and x-ray tech at the Sayre Hospital for the next 12 years, Cordell Hospital for 11 years, 3 years of service at the Cheyenne Hospital and 3 years at Thomas Hospital as well as 5 years at Mangum Hospital. Marie had many hobbies. She enjoyed gambling at the casino, sewing, but her greatest love was fishing and spending time with her grandchildren and precious companions; Ozzie and Princess.

Marie is survived by 2 daughters; Janet Poindexter and husband Ricky, Teana Lee, 2 brothers; JT Jencks, Steve Jencks, 4 sisters; Rose Sweetman, Louise Schweyer, Opal Jones and Christine McCann, 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren as well as a host of other relatives, longtime friends and neighbors.

Preceding Marie in death include her parents, daughter; Mary Woods, son; Dean Ferguson, sisters; Sherlene Cook and Margarette Baker, brothers; Charles and Evert Jencks, grandson; Joshua Ferguson, grand- daughter; Tammy Christie, great grand-daughter; Karissa Judd.
