Florence "Estelle" (Ritter) Ferguson

Florence “Estelle” Ferguson, 77, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022.

Estelle was born May 13, 1945 in Baltimore, Maryland to Grace (Radcliffe) Davis and John Ritter.

Estelle was a 1963 graduate of Centerville High School in Centerville, MD, she then went on and got a nursing degree. In the late 1960’s she moved to Oklahoma, where she went on to become a Nurse Practitioner. She worked as a nurse at the Prague hospital then went on to work with the Lincoln Co. Health Department for almost 40 years. Estelle helped with free clinics around the county and also helped at the food pantry. Estelle was a collector of things, and a great plant caretaker. She also loved getting to play card games with her grandchildren. When she could, she enjoyed going back to Maryland and visiting and searching for crabs. She may have left Maryland but her heart never did. Estelle really enjoyed getting to take care of people and did for most of her life, her caring and kind heart will be missed.

Estelle was preceded in death by parents Grace and Marvin Davis and John Ritter and sister and brother-in-law Jackie and Wilbur Miles.

Survivors include son Joe Ferguson; daughter Amy Weddle and husband Clay; brother Wayne Ritter and wife Rita; grandchildren Damon, Destiny and Tallen Ferguson and Canaan, Ruthie, Deacon, Jordan, Sophie Joy and Hattie Faith Weddle; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and host of friends.

A celebration of life for Estelle will be held at a later date. Condolences may be offered online at www.parksbrothers.net. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, OK.
