Bobby Gene Ferguson

June 5, 1931 ~ February 4, 2001

Memorial service for Bobby Gene Ferguson, age 69, of Chickasha will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2001, in the Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. DeArthur Yandell will officiate.

Bobby Gene Ferguson was born on June 5, 1931, in Guymon, Oklahoma, the son of Felix Sallee Fergeson and Mary Opal Gum Ferguson. He died on February 4, 2001, in Oklahoma City.

Bobby served in the Korean War from 1948 to 1950. Due to injuries and three months in the hospital, he received any early discharge. After his discharged, he was a truck driver. Bobby drove a school bus for four years after retiring from trucking.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Leroy Ferguson. One son, Robert Salea Ferguson, one daughter, Linda Ann Chinn, and two step sons, John Arthur Chinn and Victor Roy Chinn, also preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Betty of the home; daughter, Cynthia Alcorn of Chickasha; daughter and husband, Donna and Henry Sullivan of Ninnekah; daughter and husband, Kimberly Ann and Raul Apodaca of Ninnekah; son, Michael D. Chinn of Chickasha; son, Dean Ferguson of Chickasha; son and wife, Michael S. and Linda Ferguson of Adelanto, California; sister and husband, Ruby and Bob Richardson of Hemet, California; sister and husband, Margaret and Wayne Brown of Denver, Colorado; brother and wife, Richard and Sharon Ferguson of Oregon; brother, Donald Ray Ferguson of Rialto, California; brother, Terry Ferguson of Delta, Colorado; brother-in-law and wife, Roy and Vera Ward of Eufala; brother-in-law and wife, Jack and Shirley Ward of Missouri; sister-in-law and husband, Dena and Bill Anderson of Verden; brother-in-law, Donnie Shahan of Duncan; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Services will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.

There will be no visitation for Mr. Fergeson.
