On January 15, 1966 Larry married Janette Carter. The couple raised their family in Medford. Beginning in September 2006, Larry and Janette served faithfully in the Retrouvaille Ministry to help couples heal and renew their marriages. Throughout his life he was an active member and served in a variety of ministry roles at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Medford and Saint Mary Assumption in Wakita. This was true as recent as the 2018 Wakita 16th Celebration which he attended nine days before his death. Larry also enjoyed farming, fishing, auctions and telling stories and jokes. He was special to all of his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
