Nadine Vinson Fees age 83 left this world in her fight of cancer during the early morning of Thursday, May 5, 2016 in Barnsdall, Oklahoma
On September 6, 1932 Nadine was born at home to Silby (Sib) Vinson Sr. and Autie Luttrell Vinson in rural Washington County just south of Ramona, Oklahoma.
Her family moved to Ramona where Nadine attended high school. Nadine married and had three children and joined the workforce holding positions at Phillips 66, The Holiday Inn, and The Turnpike Authority. Later on Nadine decided on a new career and opened and operated her own massage business. She enjoyed pet sitting, house sitting, and spending time with family and friends. She was a lifelong member of the Friends Church in Ramona.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Sib Vinson Jr., Bill Vinson Sr., her sister, Janis Vinson Stewart, her brother in-law Bill Melton, her son Roy Canaday, and her daughter Nita Canaday.
Nadine is survived by her sister Betty Vinson Melton, her daughter Cheryl Gates, her daughter in-law Sommai Canaday, brother in- law Carl Stewart, grandchildren Nicki Gates, Jason Fees, Jamarre Stokes and husband Randy Stokes, as well as several loving nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends including her special family friends, Gary and Connie Lewis who welcomed Nadine into their family.
On Friday, May 20th at 7:00 p.m. a celebration of Nadine's life will be held at her favorite place, "The Ramona Cherokee Casino" where she met and made many wonderful friends whom she considered family and loved spending time with.
Friends will be meeting in the bar area then dispersing for dining and gaming.
