Carolyn Sue Fee, 82, of Newkirk, Oklahoma, passed away on December 13, 2019, in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Viewing will be from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Sunday, December 15, 2019, at Trout Funeral Home Chapel. Private family services will be held at a later date.
Carolyn was born on September 6, 1937, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, to George and Gladys Gregg. Carolyn married Kenneth Fee on Dec. 9th, 1967 in Miami, OK.
After high school, Carolyn worked in various bank teller positions until her family relocated to Sulphur, LA. for 11 years, where she continued to work in various banking positions. She returned to Newkirk in 1980 to operate her own neighborhood grocery store and later worked for Kaw Bingo and Wal-Mart for several years. Carolyn loved her Bingo customers and the many friends she met and worked with through the years.
She was never afraid of work, as she always reminded us that she started at her father’s bus-stop café at age 12. She was a people person and enjoyed working at various jobs throughout the years. She loved people, family time, enjoying her grandchildren, playing bingo, casinos, and going to lunch with her friends.
She is survived by two of her children, Rocky Schoonover and wife Sharon of League City, TX and Melanie Counterman and husband Brian of Newkirk. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Justin Mouton and wife Beth of Carlyss, LA., and Brandi Dronet and husband Nelson of Carlyss, LA., Jake Schooley and Carley of Ponca City, and Kaylee Counterman of Newkirk. She also enjoyed her (9) great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1993, her daughter, Terri Mouton in 2006 and her mother, father, sister Pat Mollet, and brothers, Delbert Gregg and Jerald Gregg.
