David Thomas Federighi

David Thomas Federighi
May 17, 1942 ~ October 31, 2024

David Thomas Federighi passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024, in Shawnee, Okla. He was born May 17, 1942, in Chicago, Ill., to his parents, David and Catherine Federighi. He graduated from De La Salle High School and joined the United States Army in 1966. David was honorably discharged in 1970 after serving his country for four years.

On August 3, 1972, David married Geraldine Lis. For most of his life, David worked in construction as a crane operator. In addition to his work and family, David found joy in motorcycle rides and was a devoted Chicago Bears fan, passions that brought him happiness throughout his life. As a father and grandfather, David cherished his family above all.

He is survived by his son, David J. Federighi and his children: David Jacob, Alyssa, Jason Tyler, and Scarlett; daughter, Amy States and her husband Kyle, along with their children: Lily, Luke, and Emilia; and granddaughter, Melanie Birchett. David was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Federighi, his daughter, Jennifer Birchett, and grandson, Nicholas Birchett.

Family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing David are invited to pay their respects at Walker Funeral & Cremation Service.

Viewing was held on Monday, November 4 from 1 to 6 p.m. and on Tuesday, November 5 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. A Rosary Wake Service will be held on Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. at Walker Funeral Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Benedict Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 10 a.m.
