Robert Faught passed away on October 2nd at 75 years of age, leaving behind a life full of stories, adventures, and deep connections. Born July 9th, 1949, he was a man of curiosity and energy, always driven by the next project, a new idea, or an unexpected challenge.
A devoted husband to Diane Faught for 57 years, they recently celebrated their anniversary, a milestone built on shared laughter, resilience, and countless memories. Together they raised three children: Cindy Benson, Kim Atteberry, and Ryan Faught, instilling in them the same sense of pride and determination that carried him through his life. He was a loving grandfather to four grandchildren and found a special kind of joy in the laughter and playfulness of his three great-grandchildren.
Education was a cornerstone for Robert. He earned his master’s degree, fueled by his passion for American history. He could often be found absorbed in stories of the past, weaving those lessons into conversations about the present. His love of learning didn’t stop at books, though—he also saw the world through the lens of a camera, capturing moments in time with the eye of a photographer who understood the beauty in the details.
He was a man who loved working with his hands—whether it was building something from scratch, repairing something broken, or diving into his next business idea. A serial entrepreneur, Robert was never without a new venture in mind, an embodiment of someone who truly believed there was always more to explore.
But perhaps his greatest peace was found in the wild. Elk hunting in Colorado, deer hunting trips with his kids and grandkids, and afternoons spent fishing offered him the opportunity to connect with nature and his family in a way that was quiet, yet deeply fulfilling. These moments weren’t just pastimes—they were a way of life for him, a legacy that he shared with his children and grandchildren.
He was immensely proud of the people his children and grandchildren had become. Their accomplishments brought him great pride, but more than that, the time they spent together mattered most. Even in his final years, separated by the circumstances of life, his heart was always with his family—especially his great-grandchildren, whose laughter and playfulness brought light to his days.
Robert will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, his boundless curiosity, and his love for his family. He may be gone, but the mark he left on the world, and on those who loved him, will remain.
The family will be having a private graveside burial service at a later date.
