Matthew Farris, age 35, of Goldsby, passed away unexpectedly on July 5, 2023. Matthew Bradley Farris was born on September 15, 1987 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the oldest of three sons of Bradley Kent Farris and Diane Kaye (Dietrich) Farris.
He was very athletic, being strong, fast, and big for his age. He participated in multiple sports including baseball, football, and basketball, which fueled his love for supporting OU sports. Matthew loved certain aspects of school, such as participating in DECA and volunteering his time for numerous organizations. He attended Edmond North High School, graduating with the Husky Class of 2006. Matthew was charming, loyal, charismatic, and accepting of everyone.
One of his biggest accomplishments in life was becoming a proud father of his beautiful daughter, Cadence.
Matthew was also extremely intelligent and a lover of books, especially the Bible. He was a man devoted to studying the Word, and he loved worshipping in church and fellowship. Although he faced obstacles in life, he was an overcomer. He recognized his struggles in following Jesus in life, which only fueled his desire to know Him more. Matthew was a loving son, brother, and a true friend. He will be dearly missed!
Matthew is survived by: his parents, Brad and Diane Farris of Goldsby; his daughter, Cadence Boudreaux; brothers, Adam Farris (Lila) of Washington D.C., Jacob Farris (Andrea) of Norman, and a host of other family and friends.
