Anna Marie (Banta) Farrand
January 13, 1955 ~ May 26, 2019

Memorial Services for Anna Marie Farrand, 64, of Cleo Springs, will be held at a later date. She was cremated per her request. Cremation arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc.

Anna was born at Fort Dodge, Iowa on January 13, 1955 to Charles and Wilma (McBride) Banta and died May 26, 2019 at the Fairview Fellowship Home in Fairview, Oklahoma.

Anna grew up in the Fort Dodge area and attended school till the eighth grade when her mother got sick. She quit school to stay home and take care of her mother. In 1971 she married Richard Tomlinson in Fort Dodge, Iowa. To this union was born three children, Charles, Glenda, and Jan. After several years they were devoiced and later married John Farrand.

Anna worked back in the 70’s and 80’s as a nurse’s aid until she hurt her back and had to go onto disability. She loved to Crochet, Knit and spend time at Canton Lake fishing. But most of all she loved spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren. Anna was said to have a Big Heart with a Sailor Tone. She was truly loved and will be missed by many.

Anna was survived by her sons; Charles Tomlinson and Logan Gordon, her daughters; Glenda Cox and Jan Evans, step-son Mike Farrand, step-daughters; Debbie Sodowsky and Tina Hamm, four brothers, two sisters and 37 grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were parents, and step-son Butch Farrand.

Memorials may be made to the Anna Farrand memorial with the funeral home acting as custodian for the funds.
