Johnnie Fant, 76 year old Woodward resident passed away, Sunday, August 21, 2022 at his home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.
Johnnie DuWayne Fant was born December 29, 1945 to Clayton Boyd and Wanda Pauline (Howard) Fant in McKinney, Texas. He was raised by Pete and Mildred James in McKinney. Johnnie graduated from McKinney High School. He was inducted into the United States Marine Corps.
Johnnie was united into marriage to Susan Doris Evans on Augsut 16, 1991 in McKinney, Texas. The couple made their first home in McKinney. They later moved to Washington State before settling in Woodward, Oklahoma.
He worked as a delivery truck driver. Johnnie enjoyed guns, ceramics, cooking and writing. Spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren is what brought him the most joy..
He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and grandparents.
Johnnie is survived by his loving wife, Susan Fant of the home; son, Shawn Fant of Tennessee; step-sons, Robert Bray, Jr. and wife Kelly, Kevin Bray, and Tim Bray; daughter Milissa Renee Grissom; step-daughter, Bonnie Sue Gillaspie; grandchildren, Chris and Lanie, Casey and Burley Lockhart, Jay and Ericka, Brian Bray, Andrew Bray, David, Timmy, and Justin, Britany and Tony Garcia, Kelsey Garrison, Emily and Zack, and Sidney; 12 great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
