Ed Fanning passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 4, 2016 at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor William J. Shupe officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.
Edward Robert Fanning was born October 8, 1934 in Tulsa, OK to Edward William and Wilma (Bell) Fanning. Ed married his childhood sweetheart, Dorothy Ann Ward on April 2, 1954 in Ramona, OK. Ed worked in Exploration and Production at Phillips Petroleum Co. retiring after 33 years of dedicated service. His passion was taking care of his beloved family and farm.
Ed is survived by his wife Dorothy, of 62 years, two sons; Mark Edward Fanning and Timothy Alan Fanning, both of Ramona. He was blessed with two grandchildren; Zachary Todd Fanning and wife Haley of Ramona, Lesli Brook Allen and husband Aaron of Nowata, four great grandchildren; Spencer Kane Hamilton, Cooper Clay Allen, Charly Cate Allen, Cash Carter Allen, step-sister, Sonya Raber, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Ed was preceded in death by his grandmother, Jessie Fanning, parents, brother, Jimmie Coleman and sister, Darlene Coleman.
