Wesley "Houston" Fann died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2002, following a lengthy illness at age 66.
Born Aug. 27, 1936, in Muskogee, Okla., Mr. Fann was the son of the late Jordan and Pauline Fann. He was the youngest of six children. He moved to Woodland in 1952, shortly after he joined the U.S. Army. He spent most of his service time in Korea. In 1961, he returned to Woodland where he spent the remainder of his life. He was employed by Orrick Truck Terminal for 20 years.
Mr. Fann is survived by his wife of 31 years, Judy Fann; sons, Gary Fann and wife Jamie and Marc Fann; and daughter, Nichole Romero and husband Carlos, all of Woodland.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brandon and Bailey Fann and Carlos Romero; brothers, Leon Fann and Ardie Fann, and many sister-in-laws; a brother-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Fann was preceded in death by his sisters, Wanda "Emogene" Utley, and Helen Fann; and brother, Jerrold Jordan Fann.
A graveside service is scheduled at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at Woodland Cemetery.
