ELDON FALLIS, better known to his family and friends as "Skeet" or "Skeeter", was born April 14, 1934 on the family farm southeast of Seiling, Oklahoma in Dewey County. He departed this life on Friday, April 12, 2013 at the Fairview Hospital. He was the son of Robert Jackson and Alta Viola (Bolster) Fallis. He was raised in the Seiling community where he attended Seiling School. He furthered his education by attending technical school at Okmulgee where he learned the trade of welding.
"Skeeter" served his country during the Korean Conflict then he began working in the oil fields. He was working in Montana when he met Margaret Tomlin. They married in 1959 in Montana and four children were born to this marriage. He later returned to Oklahoma and Texas where he continued working in the oil fields, as well as, truck driving and working in construction. He married Vickie Lynn Cross, December 22, 1977 at Laredo, Texas. They lived southeast of Seiling and later moved to Zapata, Texas. In 1983, they returned to Oklahoma and settled in the Longdale community where they have lived since. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Vickie Fallis of Longdale, four daughters: Mitzi McIntosh of Lewistown, MT, Brenda Fallis of Billings, MT, Johna Hicks and husband Travis of Okeene and Kendra Noble of Longdale, two sons: Wayne Fallis and wife Becky of Billings, MT and Dan Fallis and wife Tynna of Ft. Benton, MT; sixteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren, one brother, Donald "Jenks" Fallis of New Carlisle, OH and he is also survived by many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister and one brother, Russell Fallis in 2003.
