Gene Robert "Geno" Fairchild
May 14, 1956 ~ October 30, 2014

Gene Robert Fairchild (Geno) was born in Wurzburg Germany May 14, 1956 and went to be with the Lord on October 30, 2014.

Gene has been a resident of Oklahoma City for the past 11 years.

Gene is preceded in death by his mother, Emma Frieda Dreher Fairchild; father, Kenneth Earl Fairchild; sister, Petra Frieda Dunnaway; brother, Kent Earl Fairchild.

Gene left behind wife, Sherry Fairchild; Sherry’s children Nicholas and Nicole; daughter, Errika Miller of Walters Oklahoma; brother:, Max Fairchild and wife Deborah of Edmond; sister, Anna Marie Smith and husband Art of Houston, Texas; brother, Richard Fairchild of McAlester, Oklahoma; brother, Mike Fairchild of Electra, Texas; brother, Jerry Lee Fairchild of Electra, Texas; grandchildren: Zachary, Austin and Kiarra Miller, & many nephews and nieces.

Gene succumbs to his year battle with cancer but, he was not overcome. He is resting in the arms of Jesus. Gene was a fighter; he didn’t know how to not fight. Gene saw life a series of battles to be overcome, and he fought to win every battle. Gene was a strong man, and he was very given to his own way of living life. He will be remembered for his tenacity and how he fought til the end.

Geno, we will miss your strong will, and your determination to not be overcome. You can rest now, no more fighting, you win! We love you!

Special thanks to Quail Ridge Living Center of Oklahoma City, and Valor Hospice of Oklahoma City. Funeral services will be 2pm Tuesday November 4, 2014 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel.
