William Chester Ezell and son Joey, age 12, were instantly killed shortly after nine o'clock Tuesday night when their automobile was struck by a Southern Pacific passenger train at Manning's Corner, three miles north of Brooks. The Ezell home on route 1, Brooks, Oregon.
The bodies were found about 200 feet from where the car was struck. The car was demolished.
The widow and a son, age 18, Jack, survive.
William Chester Ezell was 44 years of age.
He was the brother of Frank Ezell of Woodbirn; and Joe Ezell, Mrs. C.Y. Tate and Mrs. John Schmidt of Aurora, Oregon; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Ezell; also sister, Mrs. J. F. Haynes of Sayre, Oklahoma; and a brother, John Ezell of Strong City, Oklahoma.
