John Michael Ex of Workman Mountain departed this life February 9, 2017. He was a Charter member of the Elm Grove Baptist Church, his presence will be sorely missed. A lifelong bachelor, he dedicated his time to caring for his parents in their golden years and he lived to serve the Lord with kindness, love and sacrifice. He was the youngest of nine children.
He is survived by his mother Bobbie Lea Ex of Stilwell; his sisters Barbara Gatewood and husband Jerry of Stilwell, Vivian Radebaugh and husband Floyd of Marion, OH, Leann Murphy of Republic, MO, Violet Clenney and husband Don of Greenwood, AR, Fay Saba of Pflugerville, TX; his brother Paul Ex and wife Sheila of Norman, OK; his aunts Vivian Morrow of Sperry, OK, Juluanna Miller of Blanchard, OK, and Jimmie Jean Burkepile of Arkoma, OK; and his uncle Vernon Ex of Charleston, SC. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, countless friends and a saddened and sorrowful community.
He was preceded in death by his father Windel Ex; and his brothers Windel Dewayne Ex and James Virgil Ex.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Elm Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Eugene Kester officiating. Burial will follow at Hall Cemetery in Natural Dam, AR under the care and direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
