Maggie (Harlan) Ewing

September 21, 1901 ~ June 9, 2004

Maggie Ewing passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at the age of 102. She was born in Washita County, Oklahoma, to James and Missouri Harlan on September 21, 1901. Maggie was the youngest of eight children. She attended Cowden Consolidated School.

She married Orville Ewing on November 8, 1922, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Throughout her lifetime, Maggie held a variety of jobs and positions. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Tuttle.

Maggie was a loving and incredibly devoted wife, mother and grandmother who lived her life by Biblical principles.

She enjoyed being with her family, sewing, quilting, gardening and cooking.

Staying mentally and physically active is what Maggie said contributed to her longevity.

She enriched our lives beyond measure and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and sisters, her husband, Orville, of fifty years, and her son, Lowell.

She is survived by her loving daughter-in-law, Elaine Ewing, Tuttle, Okla.; grandchildren: Cheryl Smith and husband Michael, Moore, Okla., Sandra Taylor and husband Ron, Norman, Okla., Glenda Berry and husband Charles, Tuttle, Loretta Storff and husband Steve, Jones, Okla.; great grandchildren: Bryan McCharen, Jeff Smith and wife Beverly, Jana Brown, and husband Jay, Erick and Mindy Taylor, Jason Berry, Erin, Alison, and Lindsay Storff; great, great grandchildren: Jacob, Hannah, and Joseph Smith, Loryn and Hadyn Brown.
