Jacob Hutton “Jake” Ewing
April 15, 1954 ~ December 26, 2024

Jacob “Jake” Hutton Ewing, 70, passed away while surrounded by family members on December 26, 2024. Viewing will be on Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Trout Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held Monday, December 30, 2024, at 2:00 PM, at the Trout Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W. Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.

Jake was born on April 15, 1954, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, to Jacob, II and Gladys Ewing. He attended Ponca City Public Schools and graduated in 1972. On November 8th, 1970, he married his lifelong partner, Gina Ewing. They spent 55 beautiful years together. During those years together, they had 3 children, Jeremy, Elizabeth, and Travis Ewing. For work, Jake was a person of many trade skills. Due to his vast knowledge of different trades, he took on all kinds of projects from tile laying to building a house from the ground up.

When he was not at work, you could find him at the golf course with his buddies. He participated in many golf tournaments and won some of them too. He was also an avid OU and Dallas Cowboys fan. If you came over to his house, he was always watching sports. His absence will be felt deeply by all those who know and love him, and he is already greatly missed.

Jake is survived by: his wife, Gina Marie Ewing; his daughter, Elizabeth Marie Ewing; his sons, Jeremy Joseph Ewing and Travis Jerome Ewing and daughter-in-law Alma Ewing; and his sister; Shirley Alberty; his grandchildren, Deyonce, Isabelle, Kyle, Tucker, Evan, Lukah, Liam, David, Kory, Riplee and Millie; many nieces, nephews, family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob, II and Gladys Ewing, and his brother, Leonard Ewing.
