Carol Ewing , 52, passed away Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, in Norman.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are by Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
Carol was born Dec. 5, 1959, in Bakers Mills, N.Y., to Clifford Steves Sr. and Lucy (Bushee) Burt.
Carol was employed with Top of the World in warehouse retail for the past 13 years. She enjoyed drawing animals and portraits, playing bingo and country dancing. Carol loved to teach her children to cook as well as other life lessons. Family nights at the Ewing home playing rummy, watching movies and telling stories will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucy Burt; her father, Clifford Steves Sr.; her daughter, Jakota; and sisters, Shirley Grove and Linda Steves..
Survivors include her stepfather, Edward Burt; daughters, Sherraina Walden and husband Shawn of Lexington, Starla Stovall and husband Shane Stovall of Lexington, Amanda Ewing , Cheyenne Beasley and Sky Beasley; grandchildren, Shydyn Stovall, Estin Stovall and Cazlee Stovall of Lexington, and Allison Walden and Gavin Walden of Lexington; brothers, Clinton Steves of Texas, Billy Steves of Norman, Calvin Steves of Norman, Clyde Steves of Norman, Wesley Steves of New York, Clifford Steves Jr. of Norman, Victor Steves of Hudson Falls, N.Y., and Wally Steves of Norman; sisters, Christy Williamson of Savannah, Ga., and Edith Lowe of Oklahoma City; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Havenbrook Funeral Home.
