Wilma Joan Ewer was born October 3, 1936 in Stroud, Oklahoma to Arthur Huey Vinson and Meredith Manilla Swofford. She passed away on November 12, 2021 at the age of 85 in Cushing, Oklahoma.
She married Thomas Leon Ewer on December 4, 1954 in Stroud. Mr. Ewer was in the Air Force so she got to see the world. Together they raised three children. Mr. Ewer retired from the Air Force in 1978 and they settled in Kendrick, Oklahoma. Mr. Ewer passed away on July 24, 1987. She married second to Richard C. Stringer on July 9, 1988 in Stroud. Richard passed away on January 4, 2013 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She worked at the Stroud Hospital for several years and as a desk clerk at the Best Western Hotel in Stroud. She moved to Cushing in 2014. She enjoyed reading, watching sports, old westerns, and games shows, in addition to going to the casino.
Wilma is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Meredith Vinson; her husbands Thomas Ewer and Richard Stringer, her brother Kenneth Vinson and sister Donna May Hanson.
Wilma is survived by her daughter Debbie Todd; son Anthony (Tony) Ewer; daughter Tammy Green and fiancé David Stackhouse; her grandchildren Christina Womack and fiancé Gene Hebard, Laura Cates and husband Brent, Christopher Ewer and wife Chaira, Robin Ewer, Jonathan Pauley, Joshua Pauley and fiancé Katie Kelly, Christy Macklin and Dillon Stackhouse; and her sister Peggy Gardner.
