Anthony “Tony” Lee Ewer passed from this life on Monday, January 9th, 2023, at his home in Cushing.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 13th, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A celebration of Tony’s life will be held on May 27th, 2023 at Stroud Lake.
Tony was born on May 27th, 1960, to Thomas Leon and Wilma Joan (Vinson) Ewer in Spokane, Washington. He grew up in Tacoma, Washington, graduating from Clover Park High School in 1978. After finishing high school, Tony joined the United States Air Force. His service allowed him to see the world while serving his country. While his sister and brother-in-law were stationed in Germany, Tony visited and fell in love with and married Karin Heyer on September 3rd ,1987 in Ramstein-Miesenbach. They spent many loving years together, but later separated and remained good friends.
Tony’s greatest joy in life was his three children: Christy, Christopher, and Robin. When he was younger, he enjoyed bowling and golf. Later in life, his favorite hobbies became camping at the Stroud Lake and fishing.
Tony was a hardworking father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be missed by all.
Tony is survived by three children: Christy Macklin of Cushing, Christopher Ewer and wife, Chiara of Yukon and Robin Ewer and wife, Oliwia of Niedermohr, Germany; ten grandchildren: Virginia, Dakota, Clifford, Deven, Nakayla, Kaylana, Conard, Castyn, Chaley, Camdyn; one greatgrandchild, Macie; two siblings: Debbie Todd of Cushing, Tammy Stackhouse and husband, David of Cushing. Tony is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Tony is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Leon and Wilma Joan (Vinson) Ewer.
