Father Robert Raphael Evans, 89, former resident of Bartlesville, died at 7:20 AM on Tuesday March 12, 2013 in Tulsa.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday March 15, 2013 in the St. Luke's Episcopal Church with Rev. Dr. T. Lee Stephens officiating. Cremation arrangements were directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

Father Robert "Bob" Raphael Evans was born February 12, 1924 at Berkeley, California to Kenneth Raphael and Naomi (Bridges) Evans. He was raised and received his education in Berkeley, California graduating high school there in 1943. He served in the U.S. Army in Sicily, France and Italy. After his military service, Father Evans attended the University Of California at Berkeley graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Geology. He worked for Shell Oil Company in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Amarillo, Texas until 1960. He moved to Nashotah, Wisconsin where he attended Nashotah House Theological Seminary and received a Bachelors of Divinity and was ordained into the Priesthood in 1964. Father Evans became Rector of St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Lindsay, Oklahoma serving there until 1965. He moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma in 1965 and served as Assistant Rector of St. Luke's Episcopal Church and later served as Rector until 1977. He moved to Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin and served as Rector of Christ Church until 1991 when he retired. He remained in Whitefish Bay, until moving back to Bartlesville in 1997 and lived here until 2009 when he moved to St. Simeon's Episcopal Home. Father Evans provided ministerial assistance to area churches including Sand Springs, Oklahoma and Pawhuska.
Survivors include; his wife Anne Evans of the home; his children Kenneth Manderson Evans of Boerne, Texas, Philip Lee Evans of Camdenton, Missouri, Katherine Anne Evans of Canton, North Carolina and Thomas Sibley Evans of Tulsa, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Father Evans was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Kenneth Evans and one sister Bonnie Waldrop.
