Ruth Ann Bensch Evans, wife, mother, grandmother and artist went home to be with her eternal Father on February 4, 2022. She was born at home in Chester on February 23, 1943 to Raymond and Mildred Bensch. She grew up in Chester and graduated from Seiling High School in 1961.
That summer she met the love of her life, Kenneth Evans and they were married on June 2, 1962. They were married for almost 60 years when he passed in November 2021. She devoted her life to making sure Kenneth was a successful physician and raising their 3 wonderful children. Over the course of his career, they lived in many places including Kingfisher, OK, Shattuck, OK, Oklahoma City, and Tully, Australia. She was an amazing artist, painter, potter, quilter and entrepreneur. She helped complete a historical timeline mural in the town of Shattuck. She was also a dedicated servant in the United Methodist Church serving on every committee and leadership role there was. She loved the OSU Cowboys, puzzles, anything to do with sewing and her quilting crew. She also loved spending time in Colorado at the family cabin which she designed. She passed in Weatherford, TX surrounded by her family.
Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, an infant son, Kevin, her parents Raymond & Mildred Bensch, and brothers Duane and Lyle Bensch.
She is survived by her children Jason & wife Jacqueline of Brasila, Brazil; Justin & wife Julie of Edmond, OK; Jami & husband Tommy Warner of Aledo, TX; 7 grandchildren – Morgan, Sydney, Owen, Gabriel, Madison, Trey and Trinity; sister Carolyn Wyckoff of Chester, OK; brother-in-law Benny Evans of Sierra Vista, AZ; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will take place at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Old Friends Church, 100 N. Walnut, Seiling, OK 73663.
