JErlinda Estraca passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021 in Ponca City, Oklahoma at the age 0f 74. She was born to Manuel and Angelita (Martinez) Rodriguez on June 23, 1946 in Pleasanton, Texas. Growing up she was one of eleven children.
Erlinda lived in the Pleasanton area until the age of 15 when she moved to make her home in Oklahoma where she stayed her entire adult life. She moved around from the Sayre area and northward to Ponca City. Erlinda spent many years happily nourishing students by being a cook for her local public school system.
Erlinda was a very loving, family-oriented individual that was always seen with a smile on her face. She enjoyed music and dancing, taking care of her family, and spoiling her grandbabies. Her evenings were generally spent watching her favorite shows on TV. Erlinda was always happy no matter what she was doing.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Norma Estraca and her husband Walter Escamilla, Bettie Jefferson and her husband Mckinley Eagle, and Jessie Estraca, grandbabies, Amy Jo, Tommy Ray, Shawn, and Ashlyn, her siblings, Angie Solis, Dora Esparza, Louis Rodriguez, Eva Castillo, Carrie Rodriguez, and Alice Bernal, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Erlinda was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Angelita Rodriguez, daughter, Mandy Holba, and siblings, Juan Rodriguez, Roy Rodriguez, Lenore Rodriguez, and Reuben Rodriguez.
A time of visitation is scheduled for Sunday, May 16, 2021, from 1pm to 4pm at Grace Memorial Chapel, 2016 N 14th St, Ponca City. A Funeral Service will be held in her honor at 1pm on Monday, May 17, 2021, at Grace Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jim White presiding.
