Rogelio Esparza, age 71 of Purcell, passed away Friday, December 06, 2019. Rogelio was born January 20, 1948 in Eagle Pass, Texas, to Rumaldo Esparza and Sofia Rivas. He was raised in Eagle Pass and attended school there. Like many in that time, Rogelio left school and began working, to help take care of his family. He married young, to Elvira Tijerina and to this union, 3 children; daughter, Alicia and sons, Rogelio Jr and Robert were born. Rogelio worked for many years in the oil fields of West Texas. It was here that he met Emilia Soto. They fell in love and were later married, and two families became one. Joining the family were Delfina, Leroy, Elsa, Michael, Jessica and Jasmine. Rogelio was a hard worker and a great provider. He stayed busy in construction and the oil fields throughout the years. He was a family man first, and enjoyed camping and fishing at the lake, and he looked forward to family gatherings where he could barbeque. He was a wonderful father and grandfather, brother, uncle and a good friend. He will be deeply missed!

Siblings, infants Alicia and Ruben and brothers, David, Oscar and Moses.

Leroy Esparza and wife Olga of Norman,

Jessica Esparza and husband Gregorio of Purcell and
Jasmine Medina and husband Eliseo Aleman of Purcell;
1 sister, Sara Espinoza and husband David of Lubbock, TX;
3 brothers, Rumaldo Esparza and wife Carmen of Eagle Pass,
Romelio Esparza and wife Isidra of Lufkin, TX and
Efrain Esparza of Post, TX;
38 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and
A host of other family and friends.
