Erla Maxine (Fry) Erwin

Erla Maxine Erwin age 95, formerly of Coffeyville passed away on May 17, 2016 at The Journey House in Bartlesville, OK.

Erla was born on July 24, 1920 in Angola to Albert Leslie and Mattie Grace (Cary) Fry. She attended school in Angola until the family moved to Coffeyville, where she graduated from Field Kindley High School. After high school she met Trinnie Cline Erwin at a roller skating rink in parsons, the couple started dating and they were later married in Coffeyville on March 1, 1942. To this union the couple was blessed with two sons and a daughter. Erla took pride in being a homemaker, caring for her husband, children, and later her grandchildren always brought her joy. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, and gardening. She could always be found at her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's sporting events. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Bartlesville.

Left to honor her memory is her sons, Lonnie Erwin his wife Janice of Dewey, OK and Dickie Erwin of Olathe, KS, daughter Janice Mitchell her husband Tim of Independence, KS, 9 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Trinnie, brothers, Wesley Fry and Norman Fry.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 at Restlawn Memorial Park at 11:00am with Pastor James Biesiadecki of the First Baptist Church of Bartlesville officiating. Friends are invited to Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel to sign the register book on Thursday May 19, 2016 from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
