Jessie Earl Ervin Jr
February 10, 1945 ~ January 4, 2024

Jessie Earl Ervin Jr, age 78, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 4, 2024. Jessie was born on February 10, 1945, to Jessie Sr. and Jewel Ervin in Yuba Oklahoma. Jessie attended and graduated from Muskogee School for the Blind. Even though he lost his sight at a very young age, he didn’t let it hinder him. He married the love of his life Linda Elaine (Gray) Ervin on March 16, 1973, in Yuba. He was well known for owning and working concession for the City of Durant in the late 70’s. Jessie enjoyed music, telling jokes, and making people laugh. He liked to collect clocks and enjoyed houseplants and listening to birds.

He is preceded in death by his parents Jessie Earl Ervin Jr. and Jewel Edna Ervin (Stevens). His wife Linda Ervin (Gray). His son Nicholas Scott Ervin, and siblings Faye Dunegan, Eurith Ellis, Geneva “Rae” Farrell, and Kenneth Ervin.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Monday January 8, 2024, from 10:00 A.M. to noon with a lunch for the family to immediately follow at Brown’s Funeral Service of Durant. Services are under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service of Durant. Online condolences and donations can be made at www.brownsfuneralservice.com

Linda Elaine (Gray) Ervin
June 13, 1950 ~ April 6, 2022

Linda Elaine (Gray) Ervin, age 71, entered into the arms of her Lord and Savior on April 6, 2022. Linda was born in Durant, Oklahoma. She attended Bennington Public Schools and graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University as a Registered Nurse. On March 16, 1973, Linda married the love of her life Jessie Earl Ervin Jr. in Yuba, Oklahoma. She enjoyed puzzles and reading. Linda loved to cook, she especially liked collecting and writing recipes.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents William Charles Gray Sr and Vera Maud St John, her brother Dennis Eugene Gray and her son Nicholas Scott Ervin.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband Jessie Ervin, their son Jason Ervin and wife Michelle of Durant, daughter Ashley (Brinkley) and husband James of Alva, Oklahoma, and son Shawn Ervin of Durant, and beloved grandchildren Benjamin, Catherine, Rebekah, Joshua, Emily, Bethany, Aiden, Asher, Avaliegh, Joseph, and Blakelyn.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for Linda’s final expenses. Thank you in advance on behalf of the Ervin – Gray Family.

A visitation to celebrate Linda’s life is scheduled for Monday, April 11, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Brown’s Funeral Service of Durant.
