James Darwin Ervin Sr.
June 16, 1941 ~ June 16, 2025

James Darwin Ervin Sr., a lifelong resident of Bryan County, passed away on June 16, 2025, in Bonham, Texas at the age of 84. James was born on June 16, 1941, in Durant to parents, Jessie Earl and Jewell Edna (Stevenson) Ervin. James graduated from Yuba High School and worked in the construction business until his retirement. James was married to Colleen (Clay) Ervin for 40 plus years until her passing in 2002. James loved to fish, watch westerns on TV and spend time with his family and friends.

James is preceded in death by his wife; parents; brothers Kenneth and Earl Jr. and sisters Fay, Raye, and Eurith.

James is survived by his children Susie Deleon and husband Rene, James Darwin Ervin Jr. and Marcus Ervin and wife Jamie; grandchildren Stacy Christman, Barry Gonsalez, John Robert Gonsalez, Allen Cirkles, Courtney Ervin, Jade Ervin, and Shannon Underwood; 17 great grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren; brother Eddie Ervin and wife Billie and numerous extended family and friends.

The family will host a celebration of James’ life on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Utica Community Center 144 School Road in Utica, OK. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.

Arrangements are under the direction of Brown’s Durant Funeral and Cremation Service.
