A Memorial Service for Earl Robert Enyard, age 58, of Enid, is 3:00 pm, Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Edmison to officiate. Services are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Earl was born July 6, 1961 in Enid to Herman Ray Enyard, Sr. and Bettie (Bauman) Enyard, and passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020 in Oklahoma City.

Early graduated from Enid High School in 1979. He was a doting grandfather, father, and husband. He held numerous jobs in Enid over the years including Boise Cascade, Singer Steel, Circle V Transportation and Paul Transportation. He enjoyed antique collecting, sunbathing, the outdoors, Jimmy Buffett, music festivals, and celebrating with friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Bettie Enyard. He is survived by his wife, Monica (Janzen) Enyard, of the home in Enid; a daughter, Scarlet Enyard, of St. George, Utah; four grandchildren, Willow, River, Violet and Pan; brother, Ray Enyard of Leavenworth, Kansas; and former wife, Tamara Curtis, of Ivins, Utah.

Memorial contributions in Earl's name may be made to Planned Parenthood with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

Driver dies from injuries

An Enid man died at an Oklahoma City hospital after the semi he was driving rolled Monday morning east of Fairview, Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported Tuesday morning.

Earl Robert Enyard, 58, was taken from the scene by Air Evac and admitted in critical condition with head and torso injuries to OU Medical Center, where he later died, according to an OHP report.

He was driving the tractor-trailer east on Oklahoma 8 when at about 10:20 a.m. Monday he failed “for unknown reason” to yield to a stop sign before going off the road to the right. The semi rolled onto the passenger side, coming to rest on the side of the intersection, according to the report.

The condition of the driver at the time of the accident and cause of the crash are under investigation. The weather was clear and road conditions were good. Enyard’s seat belt was in use, according to OHP.

Enid man dies in Major County crash

A semi driver from Enid was injured in a Major County crash Monday and later died. Earl Robert Enyard, 58, of Enid, was transported from the scene by Air Evac to OU Medical in Oklahoma City. He was admitted in critical condition with head, trunk and internal injuries. He was later pronounced dead due to his injuries.

The one-vehicle wreck occurred at 10:20 a.m. on State Highway 8 at the junction of State Highway 58 approximately nine miles east of Fairview. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol report, Enyard was eastbound on SH8 when for an unknown reason he failed to yield to a stop sign, departed the roadway to the right and rolled the vehicle a quarter time. The semi came to rest on the passenger side on the east side of the T-intersection. The condition of the driver and cause of the crash is under investigation. The driver was wearing his seatbelt.

Trooper Jason Burch investigated, assisted by Troopers Trent Cagle, Donald Kraft and Caleb Swickey. Also at the scene were the Major County Sheriff's Department, Isabella Fire, Ringwood Fire and Major County EMS.
