The services celebrating and honoring the life of Fred Dea Entriken, 74, of Enid will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday August 14, 2018 in the First Presbyterian Church with The Reverend Andrew Long officiating. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.
He was born December 1, 1943 to Dr. Fred D. and Virginia Sue Entriken in Enid, Oklahoma and passed from this life on August 7, 2018 in Enid, Oklahoma.
He was raised and educated in Enid attending McKinley Elementary, Emerson Jr. High, and graduating from Enid High School with the class of 1961. He received a degree in accounting at Phillips University. He then moved to Dallas and lived there between 1970 and 1997, achieving a life grand master status in Bridge, while an instructor and tournament player. Dea moved back to Enid in 1998 and married Nancy Emmons on January 23, 1999. Dea was a true and loyal friend, an extremely sweet, caring, generous man, and the very best husband ever, and is missed beyond belief. Dea was extremely knowledgeable of all things political, with the news channel on 24/7, loudly taking part in the debates, he enjoyed greatly his tapings of Seinfeld and Monk. He loved the game of golf, both watching on TV or playing with his two best friends, Warren and Jay.
He is survived by his wife Nancy and his buddies Minnie and Mickey, of the home; her daughters, Ame (Scott) Fulmer and their children Thomas and Liberty, of Enid; and Amber (Andrew) Krizman and their daughter Megan, of Tampa, Florida; two sisters, Sallie Asplund, of Enid, and Susan (Robert) Renz and their daughter Laura of, Spokane, Washington; his mother-in-law, Adele Emmons, of Enid, and sister-in-law Gayle (Ron) Franklin, of Enid.
Memorials may be given in his name to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
