Robert "Rob" Arthur Ensminger, 83, of Isabella, Oklahoma, left his earthly family to be with his heavenly family on November 19, 2019. He was born on March 9, 1936 in Isabella, the son of the late W. H. "Bill" and Carrie Brown Ensminger. On September 11, 1955 he and Winona Ellis were united in marriage.
Rob loved sports, especially when watching his children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren play. He also left a legacy for building cabins, bridges, fences, and keepsakes. He taught all his family bits and pieces of how to build. All of his children and grandchildren have things built by Dad/Pampaw that they cherish.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Carrie Ensminger; sisters, Lou Ella Baum and Loretta Greb; brothers, Clifford, Kenneth, Glenn, and Shelby Ensminger. His beloved grandson, Chad Campbell, also preceded him in death.
Rob is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Winona Ellis Ensminger; daughters, Robyn Ensminger, Kerry Hatch, and Lori Ensminger; his embraced daughter, Karen Duncan and son, Mark Sturgeon; his sisters, Marjorie Maddux and Gail Breckenridge; brother, Warren Ensminger. He helped raise and teach his loving grandchildren, Desirae Ford and husband, Shannon, DeAmber Piel and husband, Cory, Tanner Broomfield and wife, Melissa, James Kirk and wife, Carmen; as well as his thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson and many nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life service for Rob will be Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Isabella Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Mahlon Richardson and Rev. Nathan Twyman officiating. In lieu of flowers, Rob's family suggests that you bring to the service "Toys for Tots" or make contributions to the church to be used to purchase gifts for the church "Angel Tree."
