Glenda Joyce (Gibson) Ennis

Glenda Joyce (Gibson) Ennis
March 29, 1946 ~ May 14, 2016

Glenda Joyce Ennis, daughter of Norman "Huck" and Mildred (Hall) Gibson, was born on March 29, 1946 in Bismarck, Missouri and passed from this life on Saturday, May 14, 2016 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 70 years, 1 month and 16 days.

She worked hard her entire life. Glenda helped raise her siblings and supported her family by working in a glass plant and a chicken processing plant.

She endured heartache and loss many times over, yet was able to persevere and keep smiling.

Glenda came from a family of musicians and was an excellent guitar player. She never had any formal training, just learned it all by ear. She played in many different venues with her family and friends during her younger years.

She enjoyed watching old westerns, crime shows and wrestling, but what she enjoyed most was the family reunions and get-togethers, where she could visit, tell wonderful stories about the past and have impromptu jam sessions.

Her pets were part of her family and she loved many over the years. During recent years, Gizmo the Pug was her constant companion and friend.

During her time with us, she made many friends and will be constantly remembered and deeply missed.

Her parents: Norman and Mildred Gibson, husband: Cary Bart Ennis, sons: Thomas James Holland, William Earl Holland, daughter: Penny Louise Rhodes 2 brothers and 2 sisters preceded her in death.

She leaves behind a loving family that includes her son: Bart Ennis and wife Tonia of Westville, OK, daughters: Lisa Myers and husband Kirt of Broken Arrow, OK, Elizabeth Ennis and companion Mike Baughans, Annette Siegel and husband Rick, all of Bristow, OK, mother-in-law: Francis Golden of Gentry, AR, 20 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 4 sisters, 3 brothers, a dear friend: Marla Brummett and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services at 2 pm on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Springtown Cemetery, Springtown, Arkansas with Bro. Lance Unger officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Roberts & Hart Funeral Home, Westville, OK.
