Mary Ann Engler was born May 31, 1957 in Roswell, New Mexico, the daughter of Jose and Guadalupe (Montoya Bartlett) Giron. She passed from this life October 15, 2020 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 63 years.
Mary Ann moved to Norman from Saudi Arabia in 1999, and then to Oklahoma City in 2012.
She retired from the USAF on March 16, 1989 and worked as a Commissary Clerk at Tinker AFB for 14 years. She enjoyed taking care of her dog Maxine, yard work and gardening, nature and cooking. She was an avid runner and enjoyed physical fitness activities such as yoga and karate.
She and Scott Engler were united in marriage December 12, 2013 in Del City.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Bonney Louie Bartlett and Johnny Joseph Bartlett.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Scott of the home; children, Jonathan Peterson of Oklahoma City, JoDee Elizabeth Smith of Pleasanton, Kansas, Stephanie Fields, Adam Engler; grandchildren, Carter Fields, Clair Smith, Shaffer Smith and Lydia Smith; siblings, Bertha (Birdie) Giron Raper of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Nancy Jo Giron Hernandez of Texarkana, Arkansas and Delia Bartlett Arce of Anaheim, California.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 4pm to 8pm. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 2pm at the Chapel of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home Del City.
