Clyde Maurice Endsley, 95, died peacefully on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Florida Hospital Hospice Care in Florida after a long loving life.

Mr. Endsley was born in 1920 in Curtis, Oklahoma to William Alexander Endsley and Jimmy Alice Carlton Endsley. In his younger years, Clyde Endsley developed a talent as a "fiddle" player while playing with his family's band. He worked on a local farm until he graduated from Avant High School. Immediately following high school graduation he joined the army and graduated from the Army Air Forces Training School as an airplane mechanic in 1942. He rose in rank to Staff Sergeant and earned his pilot's license and flew for Squadron A 811 AAF BU. Clyde served his country for three years.

Mr. Endsley spent his adult life in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Mr. Endsley worked for, and then owned Crystal Barber Shop in Pawhuska. He married Ila LaVetta Ellis in 1959 and had one son, Chris Endsley. The Endsleys were known as a loving family and Mr. Endsley enjoyed a successful 40 years of marriage to Ila LaVetta Ellis prior to her passing. He also cherished his time at the barber shop providing haircuts and clever conversation to all of his patrons. He had a sixty-year career as a barber and was admired by all that knew him.
Mr. Endsley had a passion for music. He sang in the Pawhuska Christian Church choir and taught himself to play the piano. In time he became an avid piano player. Mr. Endsley's enjoyment of music was the foundation for encouraging his son to pursue music degrees and successful music career.

Clyde married WaNetta Blair in 1999 and survived her after ten years of marriage. His son Chris, daughter in-law Anita Endsley, grandchildren Ellis and Mattison of Winter Garden, Florida and grandson Nicholas Endsley of New York, NY survive him. His sister Imogene Hamlin of Barnsdall, Oklahoma, also survives Clyde.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday June 15, 2016 at the Presbyterian Disciples Church of Pawhuska at 2pm.
