Clifford "Wayne" Emmons
March 2, 1960 ~ August 7, 2025

Clifford "Wayne" Emmons, age 65, of Perry, Oklahoma, passed away on August 7, 2025, at home in Perry, Oklahoma.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Perry High School Auditorium with David Hatfield officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Trout Funeral Home of Perry, with the family present to greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Wayne was born on March 2, 1960 in Phoenix, Arizona to Gary and Janice (Curran) Emmons. He grew up in Perry and graduated from Perry High School. After high school, Wayne proudly served his country in the United States Army. Wayne was a well-respected fire service leader. He served the Perry Fire Department for 32 years, retiring in 2019 at the rank of Fire Chief. Wayne was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, arrowhead hunting, morel mushroom hunting, gardening, canning, metal detecting, shooting, and handloading. Most of all, Wayne loved his family dearly, especially his dog, Winston.

Survivors include: his mother, Janice Emmons of Perry, Oklahoma; daughter, Tahra Emmons and her partner, Drew Pennington; grandchildren, Armando Pando, Ruben Pando Jr. and his partner, Patience Goforth, and Naomi Pando; great grandchild, Alonzo Pando; siblings, Gary Emmons and wife, Misty of Chandler, Oklahoma, Sandy Richardson and husband, Gary of Perry, Oklahoma, Cathy Condit of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, and Renae Reed of Enid, Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.

Wayne is preceded in death by his father, Gary Emmons and brother-in-law, Bob Reed.

Casket bearers are Mike Wilda, Lyle Harmon, Matt Lumbers, Ben Treiner, Brian Hatfield, and Jim Smith.
