Paul David Emery
June 8, 1954 ~ March 24, 2021

 Paul David Emery (Dave) 66, passed away suddenly at his home in Bradenton, Florida on March 24, 2021. He was a caring man who loved to make people laugh. He will be greatly missed.

Dave was born June 8th, 1954 at Meadowbrook Hospital in Bellaire, Michigan. He is the second of five children born to Paul and Betty Emery. He graduated high school from Union Bible Seminary and Academy in Westfield, Indiana in 1972. Dave graduated from Covenant Foundation College in Greenfield, Indiana, becoming a pastor, and also a professor at a Bible college. He sang professionally with different gospel quartets. His longest tenure was with the Chuck Wagon Gang and had recently been singing and traveling with the Blackwood Quartet. His rich baritone and bass voice was a beautiful addition to any group. He was an accomplished musician of several instruments, including the piano, trumpet, trombone, and guitar.

He is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Emery of Bradenton, Florida, two sons, their wives, and four granddaughters: Paul David II and Lacie Emery of Sedgwick, Kansas and daughters Kinsey, and Addison; Cameron and Savannah Emery of Forsyth, Missouri and daughters Hadley and Emersyn. Two brothers and two sisters include Jeffrey Emery of Bellaire, Michigan, Stephen and Jeanine Emery of Bellaire, Michigan, Joy and Robert Hartman of Columbia, South Carolina, Amber and Stephen George of Evart, Michigan, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 9, at 1 p.m. at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with Reverend Kim Hough officiating. The family will receive friends from Noon until the time of service. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Custer Township alongside his father, Paul W. Emery, and his mother, Betty Joanne Gardener-Emery, who preceded him in death. In lieu of flowers contributions in Dave's memory can be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation, Gift Processing, 1702 East Highland Ave., Suite 400 Phoenix, AZ 85016
