Cleta A Emenhiser

Cleta A Emenhiser
November 6, 1946 ~ January 3, 2018

Cleta A Emenhiser, age 71, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. She was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on November 6, 1946, to Delmer and Vivian (Duncan) Emenhiser. Services will be held on Monday, January 8, at 2:00 pm at the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home chapel, 710 S. Dewey Ave.

Not only was Cleta born in Bartlesville, but she also grew up here and graduated from College High School. She continued her education and in 1969 received her Bachelors degree in Art from the University of Tulsa and became a certified teacher. Later Cleta became certified in Mid-Level Science as well.

Being involved in teaching children was the work that blessed Cleta most. Early in her adult life she especially enjoyed working as a Professional Girl Scout. Even after her retirement, Cleta continued to work as a substitute teacher in area schools as much as possible. She had a wide variety of interests but especially enjoyed doing genealogy research at the Bartlesville Library.

The most important event in Cleta's life was when she received Jesus Christ as her Savior and Lord. She studied God's word and was faithful to teach Sunday School at First Baptist Church in Bartlesville, first for Single Adults and currently she taught the Women of Faith Sunday School class. Cleta often asked questions that encouraged students to participate. She always challenged us to see how God's truth connected with daily life.

Cleta is survived by her nephew, Michael Weldon, and his family as well as nieces Athena (Angelos) Vadnais and Vivian (Angelos) Nield and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, Delmer and Vivian (Duncan) Emenhiser, and her sisters Betty Frances (Emenhiser) Angelos and Peggy Joyce (Emenhiser) Weldon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can go toward the funeral expenses. Checks can be marked "In Memory of Cleta Emenhiser" and forwarded to the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home, 710 S. Dewey Ave., Bartlesville, OK 74003.

Come and go visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00-6:00 PM in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home.

Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
