Lois Grisella (Speer) Elms

Lois Grisella (Speer) Elms
December 15, 1953 ~ October 11, 2012

Lois Grisella Elms, 58, of Choctaw lost her courageous battle with cancer on Oct. 11, 2012.

She was born in Espanola, NM to Louis and Mary Carlson Speer on Dec. 15, 1953.

Lois married Mark Elms, the love of her life, Sep. 3, 1983 and spent the next 29 years making a loving life and home with him. She worked as a sheet metal mechanic for many years at Tinker AFB. Lois loved riding her Can-Am Spyder and went on many rides with Mark. After his wedding day, one of Mark"s best days happened when Lois finally left her position lagging behind him to pass him on her Spyder and told him "Going fast is cool!" It was a proud day for Mark. Lois enjoyed creating stained glass art pieces and she also loved being president of her local Aglow ladies group. She loved bringing women to the Lord and was a friend to everyone.

Lois is survived by her husband, Mark; daughter Katie and her husband Michael; 3 grandchildren, Kimbri, Bailey and Chase, her 2 furry kids Rocko and Rosie as well as a host of loving family and friends. Lois was a beautiful woman on the inside and outside and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Memorial donations may be made to the Susan G. Koman for the Cure foundation, 115 Park Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73102.
